The Delhi Institute of Paramedical Sciences has
been
established to provide higher education in the field
of paramedical Sciences, IT, Management and other upcoming
important fields.
There is always need for fully qualified hands for
providing physiotherapy treatment. There is also demand
for qualified laboratory technician. In order to meet
these demands and also to provide employment avenues
the Institute has taken up these two courses. Biotechnology
and Microbiology are other two upcoming fields where
we shall be giving post graduate degree's. To meet
this new demand, the Institute intends to take up
these courses in the beginning.
The Institute is proposing to provide Degree courses
in physiotherapy Path Lab. working, (M.L.T.) and post
graduate courses in Biotechnology, Microbiology and
Medical Lab. Technology. The Institute is also
providing courses like MBA, BBA, BCA
for the students who like to make career in IT or
Management field. Future expansion will be
in the field of Para Medical courses like pharmacy,
Nursing, O.T., X-ray Technician. The Institute intends
to grow in status and provide quality higher education
to the students seeking education especially in East
Delhi where the present available facilities are far
below the required levels. For example, for a population
of almost 40 lakhs in East Delhi there is one Institute
to provide education in physiotherapy with intake
of 30 students only and none for other courses. Management
strongly feels about intake of students in other fields
like electronics and communicaton and management with
finance and banking etc.
Presently the institute is located in a building
adjacent to Singh Nursing Home 'P' Ltd. With a covered
area of 7800 sq. Fts. There are about Eight Lecture
Halls, three Laboratories, Computer Lab with latest
software and harware, one Physiotherapy Centre,
one Library, Demo Projector Room, Staff Room, Director's
Room, Reception and one Administrative Room with separate
Toilets for ladies and gents, alone with a big lobby.
Other than full fledged Laboratories, Lecture hall,
there is a sufficient furniture for students and faculty
and computers for immediate need of the institute.
